When will Yawa Aquatic Centre be open?

Yawa Aquatic Centre will be opening its doors at 6am on Friday the 25th of June.

To celebrate the opening a free community-wide event will also be held on Sunday the 4th of July with fun activities, competitions, tours, 'come and try' classes and more, to showcase at our new aquatic centre to the Mornington Peninsula community.

More information will be sent out over the coming weeks regarding this event.

Coronavirus (COVID-19)

The centre will be managed in line with State Governments directions in all aspects of its operations to ensure the health and safety of the community. 

When can I purchase a membership?

Memberships are currently available at on our website or if you prefer to speak with one of our staff members you can contact 1300 080 397. 

How much will it be for a membership?

All Fees & Charges are advertised on Yawa Aquatic Centre’s website. Click below for more pricing information.

When will payments for my Membership / GOSwim Lessons start to be taken from my account?

We will not take any payments until Yawa opens its doors to the public. 

When can I pick up my foundation pack?

We will be in contact closer to the opening date to invite you to the facility to pick up your foundation pack. 

When can I sign up for Swimming Lessons?

Swim School memberships and classes are now available. You can select classes and book online via the website. You can also download the Active world app from the Apple store or Google Play store.  The app will ask you some simple questions to help determine the level your child should be in.

What is included at the Aquatic centre?

The key features of the Aquatic Centre include: 

  • Gymnasium (24hr access) 
  • Four Program rooms (for programs like Group fitness classes) 
  • 50m Indoor Pool with a boom which allows the pool to be divided into 2x 25m

When can I book to hire a lane or a Swimming Carnival?

Booking forms for facility hire are now available for your booking requests. To make a booking request please click below. Bookings will be confirmed closer to opening. 

How can I stay up to date with the latest information?

All the latest information can be found on the Yawa website.  You can now also follow Yawa Aquatic Centre on Facebook and Instagram where you will be able to keep abreast of the latest information.

Programming and services

Belgravia Leisure have collected information from the community via the Program and Services Survey to inform the programs and services at the centre. These results will help inform the types of programs and services on offer, the scheduling arrangements and equipment purchased. More information about Programs and Services will become available on Yawa Aquatic Centre’s website as we get closer to the centre opening.

What Parking is available?

A new car park for the facility has been constructed as part of the project which is accessible from Besgrove Street. Parking also includes a number of electric vehicle charging points. 

Is the new centre accessible?

The facility has a number of accessible features including ramps into each of the pools, pool hoist, aqua wheelchairs, lift for access to level 1 (gymnasium and program rooms), Changing Places accessible change facility (designed for people with complex disabilities and their carers).
